Combat Application Tourniquet in Orange

The Combat Application Tourniquet (CAT) is a small and lightweight tourniquet designed to obstruct arterial blood flow in the event of a traumatic wound with significant haemorrhage.

All six parts of the Combat Application Tourniquet® have been updated and improved in the C•A•T® GEN7, including better designs for the buckle, windlass, and materials to make it more durable and easier to use in emergencies.

The windlass system gives even pressure around the limb using a flexible inner band that the CAT has. Once tightened, the windlass is locked in place when bleeding has ceased. The CAT also has a Velcro windlass strap for further securing of the windlass during patient transport.

3. Windlass Clip – Bilateral bevelled entry, rapid windlass lock, bilateral buttress, and added strength.
4. Windlass Strap – New reinforced strap, grey colour for tactical considerations (black only).
5. Stabilisation Plate – Reinforced, bevelled contact bar, improved comfort.
6. Free-moving Internal Band – Patented band within a band, truly even distribution of circumferential pressure.
