Placing an Order

We may accept orders from a number of different methods;

  • Online Orders - You may place your order online via our website www.niton999.co.uk
  • Phone Orders - You may place your order by Phone at 01293 549858 9am until 5pm Monday to Friday. Please note that we are closed at weekends and on English Bank Holidays.
  • Post Orders - You may place your order by post by sending your completed order to Niton Equipment Limited, PO Box 999, Crawley, West Sussex, RH10 6YG - note that this is a PO box and NOT our physical location.
  • In Person - Our Trade Counter facility is open Monday to Friday 9am until 4pm. Please note we are closed on Bank Holidays and Weekends. The Trade Counter is NOT open to the General Public and Official ID is required for entry.  The Trade Counter is located at Niton House, Crawley, RH10 9NT
  • Official Purchase Orders - Purchase Orders are accepted by post or email and we are able to use customer self-serve portals - speak to one of our team who will be glad to assist.


We accept the following methods of payment:

  • Credit or Debit Card - We accept all major credit and debit cards however we do not accept American Express.
  • PayPal - (Please note that goods will only be dispatched to a verified PayPal address supplied with the PayPal payment with the only exception being an Official Police, Ministry of Justice or Military location as determined by Niton Equipment Limited). Payments made from unconfirmed addresses will be refunded.
  • Link Pay (Apple Pay & Google Pay)  - Terms of Service | Link
  • Klarna - The safe and secure way to spread the cost of your purchase. Klarna Terms & Conditions
  • Cheque or Postal Order - Made Payable to Niton Equipment Limited (Please note that all cheques require 7 working days to clear before your order is dispatched).
  • Cash - Please send by Registered Post only.
  • BACS/Wire Transfer - Account and International Customers can pay directly into our account using our bank details which are available on request.

Unless otherwise agreed, all goods must be paid for in full before your order will be dispatched. Every credit or debit card transaction will be submitted to a full security check which involves matching the data supplied with your order to the data held on file with your bank (as stated on your bank statement).  If this information does not match the card provider's information, then the transaction may be declined. 

Police Forces, Councils and Government Bodies automatically qualify for a 30 Day Credit Account providing we receive and Official Purchase Order. All others must make a formal request and complete our Credit Account Application which contains separate Terms & Conditions.

Acceptance of Orders

All orders placed by you are subject to acceptance by us. We reserve the right not to accept your order for any reason and will not be liable to you or to anyone else in those circumstances. We may also close your account for any reason and will not be liable to you or to anyone else in those circumstances.

By making an offer to purchase, you agree to be bound by our Terms and Conditions of Trading. If you do not accept our Terms you should not place an order.  If there is anything you do not understand please feel free to contact us.

Unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order, or you have cancelled it, acceptance of your order and the formation of a contract between us will take place when we dispatch the products ordered.

Please note that when placing your order online an acknowledgement will be sent to you confirming that we have received your order for processing but this does not constitute acceptance of your order.


We utilise a range of delivery services. We continually monitor our delivery services in order to bring you the fastest most efficient service at the most competitive prices; as such our delivery services and prices are subject to change but can always be viewed online via the link to ‘Our Delivery Prices’.

Please note that it is the responsibility of the Customer to ensure that someone is available at the delivery address to sign for the parcel if no one is at the address when the delivery arrives a card will be left with details of how to arrange a new delivery or collection.

Unless previously agreed with Niton, your delivery will not be left with a neighbour or left safe. Please note that such requests are made entirely at your own risk as we cannot accept any liability for items reported as lost, stolen or damaged if you choose to do this.

Niton will not be responsible for extra delivery charges resulting from diversions, non-deliveries or refusals, if the shipper is unable to complete your delivery and goods are returned to us the fee is £20.  This amount will be deducted from the value of goods returned and will be charged to your account before goods are refunded or re-dispatched.

We reserve the right to insist that all deliveries are signed for at the registered billing address by a person aged over 18.

For orders of personalised/customised items such as epaulettes, you should allow up to 7 working days for dispatch from receipt of your order, we treat all orders as urgent and will dispatch as soon as possible. The delivery option selected at the time of placing the order refers to the delivery service when the order is dispatched, you will be updated when the order is dispatched so you will know when to expect your delivery.

Express Delivery

  • Our 'Next Day', 'Next Day By 12 Noon' & 'Next Day By 10.30AM' delivery services exclude weekends and Bank Holidays. If you do not specify one of our Timed Delivery Services your delivery will be attempted between 8 am and 6.00 pm Monday to Friday, occasionally delivery on a Saturday may be made but this is nor guaranteed on our non-guaranteed delivery services.
  • If you require a guaranteed delivery at the weekend then please select either the ‘Saturday Delivery' or 'Sunday Delivery'.
  • If you are not at the delivery address when the courier attempts your delivery a calling card will be left providing you with contact details and instructions, please respond to this card upon receipt.
  • It is the customer´s responsibility to inform Niton of non-delivery within 24 hours of receiving your order shipping/order confirmation. Our Customer Services Team will be happy to liaise with the couriers on your behalf in order to ensure the successful delivery of your order.
  • In the unlikely event the courier fails to make reasonable attempts to deliver a Timed service on schedule, we reserve the right to refund only the difference between the Timed service selected and a standard service.
  • All changes to delivery addresses will be charged a re-direction fee of up to £20, requests for delivery re-directions must be made in writing directly to Niton for approval.

Economy Delivery

This service is available for low-value orders and is not time guaranteed. We aim to deliver within 5 working days and ask that if you do not receive your order within this time that you contact our Customer Service Department for further information.

Please note that when using our Economy Delivery Service we will not consider an item delayed until 28 working days have passed since the order was dispatched and we have received a signed declaration from you. Once the 28 working days have passed we can enter into the claims procedure but reserve the right not to re-issue goods until the claims procedure has been completed with the relevant delivery service provider.

Free Delivery ‘Hotpicks’

The Free Delivery Offer applies to certain orders only and is placed for delivery to a specified address in Mainland UK. There is no minimum or maximum order value you simply need to be ordering at least one item from our "Hot Picks" list and you will receive Free Economy Delivery on your entire order.

Niton reserves the right to select which carrier and service is used on an order-by-order basis

If you do require a time-guaranteed delivery you will need to select the ‘Next Day Upgrade’ which is available for an additional fee.

Certain Highland & Island postcodes have to be excluded and will NOT qualify for this offer. See Excluded Postcode Areas below.

Hotpick Backorders: Please note that orders qualifying for free delivery will only be shipped once complete, therefore if any item on your order is out of stock we will hold the whole order and only ship once all stock is available (both Hotpick Free Delivery & Hotpick Upgrade). If you need your available items urgently then please select any of the appropriate Paid Delivery methods.

Hotpick Returns: Please note that if you are returning an item for exchange this constitutes placing a new order. As such if the replacement item does not feature in our "Hot Picks" you will be charged postage and packing on the exchange at our standard rate.

Strike Action & Seasonal Peaks

Please note that Niton will not be responsible for delays to deliveries due to strike action or seasonal peaks in demand for delivery services. 

Excluded Postcode Areas

The following postcodes are considered excluded areas by our couriers, and as such require different delivery methods.

AB37-AB56, FK19-21, GY, HS1-HS9, IM, IV1-IV63, JE, KA27-KA28, KW, LA15-LA23, PA20-PA88, PH15-PH50, PO30-PO41, TR21-TR25, ZE, All Northern Ireland

Excluded postcodes do not qualify for Hotpick free delivery or Hotpick Next Day Upgrade delivery. You must select a shipping option at checkout that has No Exclusions or covers All Excluded Areas. We reserve the right to alter the list of excluded postcode areas at any time.


Returns And Order Cancellation

Returns & Order Cancellation

You have a statutory right to return or cancel your purchase. If you wish to cancel you must tell us in writing by email or by telephone us in order to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorisation number. 

You must take reasonable care of the product and you must return the product to us (at your own risk and cost) within 14 days of dispatch (7 days for Sale or Clearance Items). All goods remain your property until they are received by our Returns Department.

The product must be returned unused (except to the extent use was reasonably necessary to examine the product) and with the original packaging and Sales Receipt with the reverse section completed with the Returns Information. We will refund the purchase price of the product less the delivery charges.

You should keep evidence of having shipped your return to us such as a certificate of posting, in the unlikely event that the return is not delivered to us you will need this information to pursue a claim with your carrier.  Niton will not accept any liability for returns not received by our Returns Department.

The following products are excluded from this legal right to cancel: Computer software that you have taken out of the sealed packaging in which they were delivered to you; products made or customised to your own specification, books and any other products that by reason of their nature cannot be returned such as earpieces for hygiene reasons.

Items purchased from our Trade Counter Facility must be returned within 14 days of purchase together with the Sales Receipt and may be subject to a 10% re-stocking fee. Items will not be accepted without proof of purchase.

Back Orders

Some products that are currently out of stock are available to order using our Pre-Order service. We will advise you if this option is available when you place your order.

Pre-Order means you can order a product immediately and we will dispatch it to you if it comes back into stock within the next 180 days. In order to reserve stock Pre-Orders will be charged to your debit/credit card or PayPal account, you can cancel your order and request a refund at any point up until dispatch. When new stock arrives, the customers who ordered first will receive their products first. An email will be sent to you when your order has been dispatched to advise you to expect your delivery.

Product Information

We have taken reasonable steps to display as accurately as possible the colours and other detailing of our products. However, the actual colours and detailing you to see onscreen will depend on the equipment you use to view the products. Any information regarding sizing of products is included as a guide only. If you are in any doubt as to the size of any product you require, we recommend that you contact us prior to placing an order.

Age-Restricted Products

If you wish to order a product where a minimum age requirement is indicated, you must confirm that you are of the required age before you will be able to proceed with the order. We reserve the right not to supply any age-restricted product where we have any concern that you are below the relevant age. For certain age-restricted products, only certain specified payment methods may be allowed.

Police & Emergency Services Restricted Products

Many items within our range have been restricted by us for supply to front-line workers only as they state the word Police, Paramedic, Prison Officer or other wording that could be used to impersonate a person in a position of trust, or for any other safety reason that Niton has deemed appropriate.

These items include garments and products with Blue Lights, Police, Prison or Paramedic wording for example.  To purchase these products you must provide a Police or Military address for delivery, or verify your status by confirming your order via your work/business email address.


These items are sold by Niton Equipment Limited, with the specific understanding that we assume no liability, whatsoever, for the safe use, handling or resale of any Handcuff or Restraint System.

Niton Equipment Limited assumes no responsibility, whatsoever, regardless of nature, for physical injury or property damage resulting from intentional, accidental or negligent misuse, or for the function of any baton, handcuff or physical restraint equipment subjected to influences beyond our control.

We will honour no claims which may result from careless handling, unauthorised adjustments, improper use, accident or negligence.

We advise that certificated training and adequate insurance are in place before use.

Batons - Whilst we show BATONS on our website, these are only available for sale on a B2B basis, typically to government or private sector customers who have lawful authority to be in possession of them.


We are committed to bringing you the best products at the best value and constantly monitor our prices.  Take care when comparing prices online, as many others inflate the suggested retail prices and then offer a misleading level of discount.  Niton Equipment Limited focuses on everyday value, and make hundreds of shipments per day from stock.  The orders we receive every day are packed, shipped and placed in the courier network on that same day.

Faulty Or Damaged Products

Faulty Upon Receipt

Upon receipt of your order if you have a faulty or damaged product please contact our Customer Service representatives within 48hrs to report the problem and obtain instructions on how to proceed.

Please ensure that you retain all packaging materials and mark the courier signing record with any damage identified.

We will issue you with a Pre-Paid ‘Collect Plus’ Label and upon receipt of the goods will exchange any item or refund the purchase price.

Where an item is being returned due to a fault or dispatch error the return label will be issued without charge. In such cases, Niton reserves the right to debit charges for parcels returned to us that do not conform to the stated values or dimensions, are not used in conjunction with the RMA against which they have been issued, or have been returned as faulty or due to dispatch error which is subsequently not found to be the case.

Only in exceptional circumstances, after prior authorisation and upon provision of a receipt, will Niton agree to issue a refund for postage charges incurred by you in the return of faulty items.

Faulty Within 6 Months Of Purchase

We will warranty any product which develops a fault within a period of 6 months from delivery (other than due to normal wear and tear, failure to follow instructions or misuse) Niton will repair or replace the product with the same product wherever possible, or a similar product subject to stock availability.

We will issue you with a Pre-Paid ‘Collect Plus’ Label and upon receipt of the goods will exchange any item or refund the purchase price.

Where an item is being returned due to a fault or dispatch error the return label will be issued without charge. In such cases, Niton reserves the right to debit charges for parcels returned to us that do not conform to the stated values or dimensions, are not used in conjunction with the RMA against which they have been issued, or have been returned as faulty or due to dispatch error which is subsequently not found to be the case.

Faulty In Excess Of 6 Months Of Purchase

Once six months from the date of purchase have passed you will be referred to the Manufacturers’ warranty. Your return will be accepted for inspection only and at your own risk and cost. We do not guarantee to offer any kind of refund or replacement.

Many of our customers have recommended the ‘Collect Plus’ returns service as a fast, reliable and affordable method of sending back any unwanted items.

Please contact our sales team to gain your RMA and ask for further information on the Collect Plus service and link to the booking form.

Upon receipt of your return, we will contact the manufacturer and take their advice as to how to proceed. Once we have a response from the manufacturer we will contact you. Please note that any decision or offer made at this stage is final.

In all circumstances some products may need to be referred to the manufacturer, therefore you must allow 30 days from our receipt of your product for your refund to be processed or a replacement product to be dispatched.

We reserve the right to refuse to issue a refund/replacement product and to recover the cost of the return delivery from you in the event that the product is found to have suffered damage after delivery or has been misused or used other than in accordance with the instructions or if the problem is due to normal wear and tear.

Nothing in this section or elsewhere in these Terms and Conditions or in our returns policy affects your statutory legal rights.

Our Liability

We will not be liable to you where the performance of any of our obligations is prevented or restricted by any circumstance or cause beyond our reasonable control.

You are responsible for the use you make of the products you order. To the extent not prohibited by law, we accept no liability for any loss which is not reasonably foreseeable or for any business loss (which includes loss of profits, contracts, goodwill, opportunity and other similar losses).

We accept liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence and responsibility for fraudulent misrepresentation and any other liability that cannot, under English law, be excluded.

Security And Data Protection

We are committed to protecting your privacy and the security of any information given to us. We will not sell or pass your details to third-party organisations and will only keep the data we need to carry out our work

We reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions from time to time without prior notice, provided that any such change will not affect any purchases you have made before the change is implemented. Your continued use of our services shall signify your acceptance to be bound by the latest Terms and Conditions.

All orders placed by you are subject to acceptance by us. We reserve the right not to accept your order for any reason and will not be liable to you or to anyone else in those circumstances. We may also close your account for any reason and will not be liable to you or to anyone else in those circumstances.

Failure by us to enforce a right does not result in waiver of such right. You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms and Conditions.

If any part of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable as a matter of law, all other parts of these Terms and Conditions shall be unaffected and shall remain in force.

No term of any contract subject to these Terms and Conditions shall be enforceable by virtue of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 by any person not a party to such contract.

You and we agree that English law applies to these Terms and Conditions and that any dispute between us arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions will only be dealt with by the English courts unless you are resident in another part of the United Kingdom, in which case the applicable law of that part of the United Kingdom will apply and any dispute will be brought before the courts there. We are required by law to inform you that purchases can be concluded in English only and that no public filing requirements apply.

Any formal legal notices should be sent to our registered business address by post or by email and confirmed by post.

May Bank Holiday Weekend

Voucher Issue - This offer has now ended

If you placed an order during the May bank holiday weekend, your voucher will be included with your printed order invoice on dispatch of your today(07-05-2024).

  • Minimum spend to qualify for a voucher excludes postage and packing charges.

Voucher Redemption

  • Vouchers can be used against purchases made via our website www.niton999.co.uk from Wednesday 8th May 2024 until 30th June 2024.
  • The voucher code must be entered into the “ADD DISCOUNT CODE” input box on the basket page, a minimum spend of £30 applies to redeem the voucher.
  • The voucher can only be used once and must be used by the stated customer, it cannot be transferred.
  • The voucher cannot be used in conjunction with any other voucher or discount code, it also cannot be refunded, exchanged, replaced or redeemed for cash in any circumstances.
  • Niton Equipment Limited reserves the right to withdraw or refuse the offer at any time or offer an alternative.
