Speaker microphone suitable for use with Sepura Airwave radios.
 
The Remote Speaker Mic (RSM) permits convenient use of a belt-mounted 2000/3000 hand-held by bringing the pust-to-talk switch, loudspeaker, microphone and certain soft keys up to a small lapel-mounted unit. In addition and earpiece may be attached to the RSM.
 
The RSM unit is connected via a curly cord cable to a ruggedised connector which attaches to the base of the radio via the bottom mounted facility connector. The connection is secured by two knurled and slotted screws.
Received audio is available from the RSM mounted loudspeaker. A sensitive microphone in the RSM allows the user to speak into the unit when mounted on a lapel.
In addition, some key user interfaces are available at the RSM such as PTT and certain programmable soft keys.
