The Criminal Justice Act 1998 (Offensive Weapons) Amendment Order 2004 states that it is illegal to sell any straight side handled or friction lock truncheons (sometimes known as batons). Niton Equipment will only sell the above items to the police armed forces or other persons working for the Crown. Any orders must be accompanied by a written purchase order and prrof of identity must be proved. Such items will only be delivered to a bone fode address such as a police station.
